The Faculty of Information Technology (FTI) of Mercu Buana University Yogyakarta (UMBY) held a public lecture "UMBY X UniKL". This activity is a collaborative program of FTI UMBY with Universiti Kuala Lumpur - Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT) which was carried out online and offline at the FTI UMBY Laboratory, Campus 2 Gejayan, Monday, 12/05/2022.

As conveyed by the Head of Public Relations of UMBY Widarta SE MM, Thursday, December 15, 2022, this public lecture presented several speakers from UniKL MIIT, namely, Assoc Prof Ts Dr Zalizah Awang Long and Dr Ts Husna Sarirah binti Husin from UniKL MIIT, as well as speakers from FTI UMBY Arita Witanti ST MT and Nurul Tiara Kadir SKom MEng.

During the presentation of the general lecture material, it was divided into 4 (four) sessions with several topics, including "metaverse game: changer" by Prof. Ts Dr. Zalizah Awang Long, "applications of process mining" by Nurul Tiara Kadir SKom MEng, "storytelling with data" by Dr. Ts Husna Sarirah Husin, and "safe, competent and ethical in digital media" by Arita Witanti ST MT. At the end of the event, the Dean of FTI UMBY Anief Fauzan Rozi SKom MEng MCE also expressed his pride and gratitude for the smooth running of the event. "I hope this activity can run continuously, to exchange knowledge to increase knowledge for both FTI UMBY students themselves and students from UniKL MIIT and the public," explained Anief.
